Thanks to the multiple recommendations for Yaw Fatt in this group, I decided to check it out today when visiting HomePro at Summit. Didn't know this shop has been operating here for so long since it's tucked in one quiet corner on the 2nd floor; took us a while to locate it.
Ordered their Signature Spare Rib Rice and Signature Braised Yee Mee. Both were very flavorful and I felt they were MSG-laden. I tend to be very wary of restaurants that use a lot of MSG, but somehow I don't mind visiting Yaw Fatt again to try their other items 😂
Saw many ordering their bakuteh, and based on the taste of the spare ribs, I believe it will be good with the right amount of herbs and spices with tender meat. The yee mee came with a lot of zhu yao zhar which is always welcomed, and I was surprised by the fresh sweetness of their carrots. Each dish had a good balance of meat & vege ratio.
I hope to try the Stew Chicken with Coconut soup or their other soup offerings next round, almost every table has at least one pot in front of them. The seafood pork dish on the menu looks interesting too. Can't wait for my next visit! Wished their operating hours are longer so it's more convenient for dinner.

I know it's RM7.00 range to RM10.00 but l am never satisfied with the quality or the quantity. Yaw Fatt hasn't disappointed me since. Yes, the chilli is awesome to go with this.

Been consistently good since its opening. Its one of the very very few if not the only establishment that's been around since the opening of the Summit USJ mall around 1999 so they've been around for over 25 years. Long time ago, they used to even have CCF, and their Cantonese yee mee used to be served in hot plates.
The last time I ate there was about 2 years ago and it was still very good.
Pricing and portion were consistent and still worth your money.
